Haroon Mirza

Haroon Mirza uses sculpture and installation as a vehicle for his sound works. He often rewires outdated audiovisual technologies such as television sets, turntables, and household electronics so they omit unruly, yet fascinating sounds. His pieces make viewers, and listeners, think about the differences between noise, sound, and music. Many of his pieces incorporate light and use jagged soundproof foam.
